All Red River Arenas round pen packages use 10-foot panels. A 50-foot round pen includes 15 panels plus one 6-foot walk-thru gate, and a 60-foot round pen includes 18 panels plus one 6-foot walk-thru gate.
The number of 10-foot panels you need depends on the approximate diameter of your round pen and the gate width. Use the chart below to compare our listed round pen layouts.

Does the Gate Count as a Panel?
When comparing packages, look for a separate count for panels and gates. A listing that includes 15 panels and one gate contains 16 sections around the pen, but the gate may be a different width than the panels.
Always include the gate when planning the perimeter. Confirm whether the quoted gate width refers to the opening or the complete connected gate section.
How Do You Calculate Panels for a Round Pen?
The diameter is the distance across the pen. The circumference is the distance around it. For a rough planning estimate:
Approximate circumference = desired diameter × 3.14
For example, a perfect 60-foot circle has a circumference of about 188.4 feet. Eighteen 10-foot panels and a nominal 6-foot gate total 186 feet of listed component length.
A panel pen forms a many-sided shape, and connections and gate framing affect its finished dimensions. Use the circle calculation as an estimate, then confirm the actual layout. If you need a specific minimum inside diameter or have limited space, discuss those measurements before ordering.

A Red River Arenas 50-foot round pen package includes 15 ten-foot panels plus one 6-foot walk-thru gate. The gate is separate from the 15 panels. As with our other round pen packages, the diameter is approximate.
