Bucking Chute Buying Guide
A bucking chute system must provide dependable livestock control, practical access for chute personnel, and the correct delivery direction for the arena. This guide explains the BC200 Bucking Chute, Add-On Chutes, Rough Stock L Section, and Left versus Right Delivery.
Start With the First BC200 Bucking Chute
Every connected BC200 system begins with one complete BC200 Bucking Chute. Add-On Chutes connect to that first chute to create a two-chute or larger system. An Add-On Chute cannot be used by itself.
BC200 Bucking Chute
The Red River Arenas BC200 is engineered for bulls, bareback horses, and saddle broncs. Built and tested in-house, it combines structural steel, Schedule 40 pipe, livestock-control features, and a substantial working platform for rodeo arenas, practice pens, and stock contractor facilities.

Rolling Center Gates
The BC200 rolling center gates are filled with Shelby extruded composite lumber. The composite filling helps reduce noise inside the chute while resisting impact, rust, moisture, and compression.
Each rolling gate travels on a heavy-duty V-groove wheel system mounted on a 1-1/4" square structural tube with an approximately 3/16" wall. The tube is positioned on a diamond to create a strong running surface, while the lower-track design helps reduce interference from ordinary arena dirt and debris.
Livestock Control and Chute Operation

Left Delivery vs. Right Delivery
Delivery refers to the side of the animal that faces the arena when the animal’s head is at the hinged end of the gate.
Left Delivery
The animal’s left side faces the arena when its head is positioned at the hinged end of the gate.
Right Delivery
The animal’s right side faces the arena when its head is positioned at the hinged end of the gate.
Choose the delivery that matches the side of your arena where the chute system will be installed. Every Add-On Chute must match the delivery direction of the first BC200.
Important: Delivery is not determined by which hand opens the gate or where the operator stands. It is determined by which side of the animal faces the arena.

Building a Multiple-Chute System
- One first BC200: Creates a complete single-chute setup.
- One first BC200 plus one Add-On: Creates a two-chute system.
- One first BC200 plus two Add-Ons: Creates a three-chute system.
- Additional Add-Ons: Continue expanding the connected system.
All connected chutes must use the same delivery direction. A Left Delivery first chute requires Left Delivery Add-On Chutes. A Right Delivery first chute requires Right Delivery Add-On Chutes.
What Does the Rough Stock L Section Do?
The Rough Stock L Section creates a confined turn between the livestock alley and the bucking chute loading area. It helps direct bulls and broncs toward the chute while allowing the main livestock alley to approach the chute system from the side.

Can I use a BC200 Add-On Chute by itself?
No. The Add-On Chute must connect to a first BC200 Bucking Chute or another connected BC200 Add-On Chute.
Does the first BC200 include stairs?
Yes. The first BC200 includes a folding catwalk and stair assembly.
Does an Add-On Chute include stairs?
No. The Add-On Chute includes its folding catwalk but does not include the stair assembly found on the first BC200.
Can I mix Left Delivery and Right Delivery chutes?
No. Every connected chute must match the delivery direction of the first BC200.
