Who Should Choose a Combo Roping Chute?
A combo chute is the best choice for ropers and facilities that plan to run both steers and calves. The wider design accommodates steer roping while still providing the versatility needed for calf roping, breakaway practice, and horse training.
RC200 Combination Steer & Calf Roping Chute
The RC200 is Red River Arenas’ combination steer and calf roping chute. Its single-handle operation opens and closes the front and rear gates together, allowing the chute to be operated from the ground or horseback and from either side of the arena.

Do You Need a Chute Extension or a Leadup?
Although both help move livestock toward the roping chute, an extension and a leadup serve different purposes:
- RC200E chute extension: Connects directly to the RC200 and provides additional enclosed space immediately behind the chute.
- Roping chute leadup: Creates a longer approach for staging livestock and directing them toward the chute.
A chute-and-extension combination is useful when you need more holding space directly behind the chute. A longer leadup is better when livestock must travel through an alley before entering the chute.
RC200 With a 16' Leadup
For a more complete livestock approach, combine the RC200 with a 16' leadup. Packages are available with or without the remote-release system.
